Why should I donate money instead of food?: Each dollar donated can help provide five dollars worth of groceries for our neighbors; Monetary gifts allow us to buy items that are rarely donated like produce, dairy, and proteins; We can provide food faster because items come packed and ready to go; Donations help support all of our programs like Garden Share and mobile pantries.
How can you make monetary donations go further?: Thanks to our local and national partnerships, and bulk purchasing, we can get more bang for our buck.
How much of my donation actually goes to support programs?: More than 95 cents of each dollar goes directly to supporting our programs. Community Food Share has had a four-star rating on Charity Navigator since 2004, the highest award possible.
